REMEMBER TO:
- write sentences of different lengths - simple, compound and complex
- use various types of sentences (for example: statement, command, question and exclamation)
On one sunny afternoon it was time to go for a big trip to Cambridge. My grandma Ray was coming to pick us up. It was an hour drive but we listened to some tunes instead of waiting for an hour.
Then we were finally there! We all rushed into the house and set up our bags. We did some gaming for a while.
We went out that night to get pizza. While we waited we went into the cheap shop next door. Sam got a cap gun and I got a puzzle. The the pizza was ready and we got in the car and sped off. When we got back home we ate up and planned a bike ride for tomorrow.
In the morning I woke up early for the bike ride. Did you know that it took about an hour to do the bike ride? Sam took Brian's bike and I took my own gear bike. Ray, my grandma took her own bike as well as me. I did a couple of jumps on my bike on purpose but after the bike ride it was evening.
We didn't do much on the second day, we literally just lounged around all day and did gaming and all that lounging stuff, but the next day we all went for another bike ride and did you know that it took us about two hours because we got a little lost before we got to the end.
The next day after that day just before that one we all went out on a big trip to an old fashioned museum.
Room 9 likes the way you used 'and' to join two simple sentences to make a compound sentence when you said "Sam got a cap gun and I got a puzzle.
